non-khamr

Very small amounts of alcohol that don’t intoxicate/cause drunkenness.

Non-khamr refers to drinks or products that contain a tiny amount of alcohol, such as less than 0.5-1%, which is not enough to cause intoxication/drunkenness even if a lot is consumed.

Non-khamr is not considered khamr. Many scholars consider them permissible, especially if the alcohol is not added to cause intoxication and has chemically changed or evaporated. These are commonly used in processed foods, vinegar, or medicine.
